Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
- 2 ½ cups chopped pecans
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 6–8 tablespoons melted butter
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 24 oz chocolate almond bark (for coating)
Instructions
- Prepare the Pecan Mixture:
– In a large mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, chopped pecans, brown sugar, vanilla extract, melted butter, and maple syrup.
– Stir until well mixed and the mixture holds together like a dough.
2. Form the Balls:
Using your hands, scoop out about 1 tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a small ball. Repeat with the remaining mixture.
3. Chill the Balls:
– Place the pecan pie balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
– Refrigerate for about 1 hour to allow them to firm up.
4. Melt the Chocolate:
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate almond bark in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval until smooth.
5. Coat the Balls:
– Dip each chilled pecan pie ball into the melted chocolate, using a fork to ensure it’s fully coated.
– Place each coated ball back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet.
6. Decorate and Set:
While the chocolate is still wet, garnish each ball with additional chopped pecans if desired.
Allow the chocolate to set completely at room temperature or refrigerate to speed up the process.
Enjoy these festive, chocolate-coated pecan pie balls for a sweet holiday treat! Perfect for parties, gifting, or just enjoying with family.
